MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES
December 14, 2009

1. Call to Order – 7:35

2. Minutes of previous meeting were posted on the web site.

3. President’s Report: John Zeitler –
        Keep availability up to date with BOCES
        Proposal to send $1,000 to the Officials vs. Cancer Drive – Passed
        Officials are asked to also contribute by sending in 25% of a game fee for
         games worked the last week of January (Since that is regent’s week, please
         choose another week). Go to the IAABO web site, www.iaabo.org, for more information

4. Interpreter’s Report: Don Landolphi –
       Reminder – scrimmages are still on web site
       14 candidates passed the floor test. Thanks to all who helped out
       Modified Rules – go to our web site – www.board41.org – for rules.
       You must enforce the rules as stated. 1 rule – 1 interpretation.
       Mandatory – All officials doing BOCES games must have a Pre-game conference   with both coaches and both captains with 4 minutes left before game time. Section 8 Policy

       Roger Glazer spoke to membership regarding officiating

5. Secretary/Treasurer’s Report: Rich Krams
       Part 2 exam collected – Will be graded - 20 Points
         (100-90=20, 89-85=18, 84-80=16, 79-70=14, Below 70=0 Must contact interpreter)
       Sportsmanship Ballot can be down loaded from web site
       Dues due by Feb 28 - $100 – Dues and Dinner $80 – Dues
       CHECKS PAYABLE TO – LONG ISLAND DISTRICT BD 41

6. Committee Reports:
    Dinner – Dominick - Progress
    Ethics – Buckley – Report all incidents to Dusty immediately
      Use the form on the web site to report incidents to BOCES
      Be on time for games, dress in required uniform, and dress neatly going to games.
    OCC – Capozzi – Will be a clarification on rating cards not being returned
   Nominating – Gaskin - Election Held
   Big Brother – Michalowski – Met after meeting

8. New Business: Remember Our 30% of your BOCES rating is – Part 2 Exam – 20
    Sports Ballot – 5
    Scrimmage – 5

PARTNER PRESENT. YOU ARE LEAVING YOURSELF OPEN TO LIABILITY.
