Scrimmages will be
starting on Saturday, November 28th. Members
of Board 41 are encouraged to work several
scrimmage assignments to prepare for the
upcoming season. In return for your
participation, the board will grant five
points out of your possible 30 points for
one scrimmage assignment worked. No more
than five points will be granted, no matter
how many scrimmages are worked.
A maximum of four
officials will be assigned to each
scrimmage, except in the case of three-way
scrimmages where six officials will be
permitted. Members may sign up for
scrimmages by visiting our web site and
clicking on the link contained in the
Members Only Section at the bottom of the
page entitled "Scrimmages list." The
following link will take you directly to the
scrimmage list;
http://board41.org/Scrimmages09.pdf
Above each school
listed, is the contact information for each
one of our liaisons.
When you have selected
your scrimmages, please contact the liaison
by email or telephone. A link to their email
can be found at the following page on our
site:
http://board41.org/scrimmages.htm
Liaisons will ensure
that your name is added to our web site.
Once four or six (three-way scrimmage)
officials have been assigned, the scrimmage
will be marked closed.
Coaches will be taking
attendance at each scrimmage. A form has
been provided for their use. Only officials
that are listed on the web site and signed
in on an attendance sheet will be granted
credit for attending a scrimmage. There will
be no exceptions. We will not grant credit
to anyone that was signed up for a
scrimmage, and was unable to work that
scrimmage due to a
cancellation of the
scrimmage, or any other unforeseen event. In
such case, you will have to attend another
scrimmage.
The Board highly
recommends that you sign up early for
scrimmages. If you are unable to attend a
scrimmage that you signed up for, please
notify the liaison so that he may open up
the scrimmage to another official. Any
changes (cancellations, times, locations,
etc.) should be
reported to the
liaison by the home coach. Our liaisons will
attempt to notify our members of any
changes. We will also attempt to post
cancellations on the web site. It is
strongly suggested that you contact the
school, or coach, to confirm all scrimmages.
We will not grant credit for a scrimmage
that was cancelled, whether you were
notified or not. Confirm your scrimmage
assignments!
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A SCRIMMAGE?
To sign up for a scrimmage, please click on
the link provided at the bottom of the page.
This will open up your browser to a new
window listing all of the HOME scrimmages of
each school. Please select the scrimmages
you would like to work. Remember, scrimmages
will be assigned on first come, first
assigned basis. Once a scrimmage has four
officials assigned, it will be considered
full except for three way games where up to
six officials will be permitted. Check back
often, as new scrimmages will open up as the
season progresses. It is always more
difficult to ensure coverage at scrimmages
after the season has started. Please do your
best to assist in this regard, if possible.
When you have selected your scrimmages,
please return to this page and check to see
who assigns for the school(s) you wish to
work. Click on the liaison’s e-mail link and
send them an e-mail indicating your desire
to work one of their schools. They will then
have your name placed onto the web site.
Any changes (cancellations, times,
locations, etc.) will be reported to the
liaison by the home coach. Our liaisons will
be responsible for notifying our members of
any changes. You may also wish to contact
the school, or coach, to confirm scrimmages.
Board 41, The Coach’s Association, and the
players, thank you for your participation in
this year’s scrimmage assignments.
