- Long Black Slacks – If
belt is to be worn, buckle should be small and discreet.
- Black and white striped,
short sleeve shirt with V-neck collar and IAABO Patch on left
chest. Boards 41, and the New York State Basketball Officials
Executive Committee (NYSBO), have decided that all officials shall
wear the American Flag on the back of the shirt. The Flag shall be
centered 1” to 1 ¼” below the collar.
- Optional solid black
warm-up jacket (Sahara Style) with IAABO Patch on left chest. If
officials decide to wear the warm-up jacket, both officials will
be required to be similarly attired. For the NYSPHSAA Tournament,
officials will be provided with the “NYSBO” Patch to wear on the
left sleeve between the shoulder and elbow.
- Solid black shoes.
- Black socks.
- Solid black lanyard (Smitty
acceptable) and solid black whistle. A Board 41 authorized colored
lanyard, and/or colored whistle is authorized for special
occasions (i.e. Cancer Fundraising, etc.)
Note: All candidates, who are not members of
IAABO, are expected to wear the same uniform with the exception of the
IAABO Patch. Candidates will be advised by the Interpreter, as to the
appropriateness of the use of black shorts and white socks for
Mechanic Classes / Floor Tests.
